Well fall is here and so are the cooler nights and shorter days. You know what that makes us think of (cuz we’re electricians), more lights being used and firing up those heaters. Just remember that it is always a good idea to replace light bulbs with whatever the fixture recommends. If a fixture says the max wattage is 60 watts(or the LED equivalent), and you install a 100 watt bulb it can severely damage the fixture by building up too much heat. We have even see instances where fixtures fell from the ceiling because the heat melted the box that was holding the fixture up! So please follow the fixtures specifications.

When we start breaking out our space heaters or turn our furnaces it is always a good idea to do some quick maintenance. Clean filters, dust, debris, etc. from heating equipment so that they run better and more efficiently.

We really enjoy the fall time. Nice crisp air, no bugs (well less bugs), and it feels great sitting around a campfire with friends and family. So enjoy the fall and be safe, especially when using electrical devices. If you have any questions or need help with your electrical needs please give us a call.
